1 Scope
This standard specifies the general requirements, treatment and disposal methods and environmental protection requirements for the treatment and disposal of chromium-containing electroplating sludge.
This standard applies to the treatment and disposal of chromium-containing electroplating sludge. Other surface treatment and chromium-containing sludge produced in the printed circuit board industry can be used as reference.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Chrome-containing electroplating sludge
The sludge containing chromium compounds formed during the treatment of wastewater (liquid) in the electroplating industry.
