Scope
GB/T 3871.4-2025 is the English-translated version of 农业拖拉机 试验规程 第4部分:后置三点悬挂装置提升能力.
GB/T 3871.4-2025 specifies the test procedure for determining the maximum lifting force at the lower hitch point, the maximum lifting force on the frame, the lifting time and the static settlement of the rear three-point hitch of an agricultural tractor, and is Part 4 of the GB/T 3871 series of tractor test procedures.
Clause 1 applies it to wheeled and tracked agricultural tractors and notes that it also applies to front three-point hitch systems. Clause 2 cites GB/T 1593, GB/T 3141 and GB/T 6960.1.
Clause 3 takes over the terms and definitions of GB/T 6960.1 and adds rated engine speed, the speed stated by the tractor manufacturer for continuous operation at full load, and maximum engine speed, the engine speed with the governor in its maximum speed position, both given as taken from ISO 789-13:2018.
Clause 4, Measurement units and errors, fixes the units and tolerances used: speed in r/min with a permissible error of plus or minus 0.5 %, time in seconds with plus or minus 0.2 s, distance in metres or millimetres with plus or minus 0.5 %, force in newtons with plus or minus 1 % and mass in kilograms with plus or minus 0.5 %; the automatic draft stops at the end of that list.
The foreword's list of changes against the 2006 edition places the requirements for test prototypes, for the instruction manual, for maintenance, for the technical specification and for the atmospheric pressure of the environmental conditions in clause 5, the general requirements of the test procedure, the lifting force at the lower hitch point, the lifting force on the frame and the methods for determining lifting time and static settlement in clause 6, the test report requirements in clause 7 and the test report format in Appendix A, which the same foreword lists as a normative annex added relative to the ISO text.
It presents the document as a modified adoption of ISO 789-2:2018, under the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Tractors (SAC/TC140), and records that this is the third revision since the first issue in 1983.
The introduction says the lifting force at the lower hitch point and the lifting force on the frame can serve as reference indicators when choosing matching implements, while the lifting time and static settlement test reflects the response speed and stability of the tractor's lifting system.
It replaces GB/T 3871.4-2006, was issued on 1 August 2025 and has applied since 1 February 2026.
