Scope

GB/T 38081-2019 is the English-translated version of 陆地观测卫星0级数据格式规范.

GB/T 38081-2019 fixes the content of level 0 data from land observation satellites, the format requirements for that data and the rules for naming its files.

Clause 1 applies the standard to the development of the level 0 data format for panchromatic and multispectral remote sensors, hyperspectral imagers and synthetic aperture radars, and allows the level 0 formats of other Earth observation satellite sensors to refer to it; the introduction adds that it suits the development of level 0 data format interfaces for non-video cameras on Chinese land observation satellites.

Its contents list names clause 4 on abbreviations, clause 5 on level 0 data content, clause 6 on format requirements with separate subclauses for the signal data file, the signal data frame index file, the auxiliary data file, the on-board calibration data file and the data description file, and clause 7 on naming rules, which covers the base name and then the name of each of those files; four informative appendices give examples of the signal data format, the auxiliary data format, the data description file format and level 0 file naming.

Clause 3 defines level 0 data as what a ground system obtains after frame synchronisation, descrambling, decoding, decompression and decryption of the raw satellite data, extracting the remote sensor data and the auxiliary data and then organising and formatting them to ease storage and later processing, and it also defines land observation satellite, signal data, frame synchronisation, descrambling, deformatting and decompression.

The introduction explains that differences between ground systems in recording and exchanging level 0 data were affecting the unified management and subsequent processing of Chinese land observation satellite data, and reports that the preliminary results of this work had already been applied on the environment and disaster monitoring small satellite constellation 1A, 1B and 1C, the China-Brazil Earth Resources satellites 02C and 04, and other resource, practice and high-score series satellites listed on the page.

The normative references are GB/T 14950-2009 on photogrammetry and remote sensing terminology and GB/T 31011-2014 on the recording and exchange format of remote sensing satellite raw data, and the foreword warns that parts of the document may involve patents.

The standard was proposed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and is under the jurisdiction of the National Remote Sensing Technology Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC327), its drafting bodies being satellite application centres, an aerospace technology company and an optoelectronics institute.

It carries ICS code 07.040 and Chinese classification V80, was issued on 18 October 2019 and has applied since 1 May 2020.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

Introduction

In recent years, China's space satellite observation satellites and ground application system technologies have developed rapidly, and environmental and disaster monitoring has been completed.

Different series of terrestrial observation satellites and ground processing applications such as surveys and resource observations. However, due to the state of satellite development and ground system requirements Many factors, such as seeking, system development unit and system construction stage, cause the ground system to appear very large in level 0 data recording and exchange.

The difference will affect the unified management and subsequent processing of the 0-level data of China's terrestrial observation satellites.

By studying the 0-level data format defined in China's terrestrial observation satellite ground processing system, and considering the under construction high-level and resource system Class 0 data format of subsequent stars, such as signal data description, signal data storage format, auxiliary data format, and data file The naming of the parts is clearly defined, in order to achieve the standardized management of the level 0 data format, to ensure the consistency and square of the subsequent satellite level 0 data format. The usability provides a basis.

The preliminary results of this standard have been in the Environment and Disaster Monitoring and Forecasting Small Satellite Constellation 1A/1B/1C Satellite, China-Brazil Earth Resources Satellite.

02C/04 star, resource No. 3 satellite 01/02 star, practice No. 9 satellite A/B star and high score No. 1/No. 2/No. 3/No. 4 satellite It has initially realized the standardized management and use of the multi-star 0-level archive format, which has played an important role in the construction and operation of terrestrial observation satellites. effect.

This standard is suitable for the development of the 0-level data format interface of non-video cameras for terrestrial observation satellites in China, and will greatly satisfy the terrestrial observation satellites.

Ground system, data processing research and other institutions have unified requirements for the unified management and use of level 0 data and the standardization of new processing system formats. Terrestrial Observing Satellite Level 0 Data Format Specification

1 Scope

This standard specifies the content, format requirements and document naming rules for Level 0 data from terrestrial observation satellites.

This standard applies to full color remote sensors, multispectral remote sensors, hyperspectral imagers, synthetic aperture radars, etc.

For the development of the 0-level data format of the remote sensor, the development of the 0-level data format of other Earth observation satellite remote sensors can be referred to.
