GB/T 37189-2018 is the English-translated version of 软质三聚氰胺泡沫塑料材料.
GB/T 37189-2018 is the Chinese national product standard for soft melamine foam, the flexible foamed plastic used in industry. It sets out how the material is classified, the requirements it must meet, the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, packaging, transport and storage of the product.
The requirements start from appearance and the permitted deviations on length, width and thickness, and the test methods draw on national standards for apparent density, tensile strength and elongation at break, falling-ball resilience, indentation hardness, tear strength, oxygen index, smoke density, steady-state thermal resistance and sound absorption coefficient, plus the UL 94 vertical burning test.
Foam manufacturers, buyers and testing laboratories use it to specify and check the material. It was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 November 2019.

This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and packaging of soft melamine foam materials. Storage.
