Scope
GB/T 37176-2018 is the English-translated version of 醇醚基芳烃.
GB/T 37176-2018 is the product standard for alcohols/ethers-based aromatics, the aromatic hydrocarbon products made from alcohols, ethers or their mixtures.
It defines the product and sets its technical requirements together with the test methods, which draw on national methods for density, hydrocarbon types by fluorescent indicator, copper strip corrosion, neutrality and total sulfur.
It also gives the inspection rules and the requirements for packaging, marking, transportation and storage, as well as safety requirements referring to the rules on hazardous chemicals.
It is used by producers and buyers of these aromatics and by the laboratories that test them. The standard was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 July 2019.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements and test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation, storage and Safety requirements.
This standard applies to aromatic hydrocarbon products produced from alcohols, ethers or mixtures thereof.
