Scope
GB/T 37071-2018 is the English-translated version of 农村生活污水处理导则.
GB/T 37071-2018 is a Chinese national guide to treating domestic sewage in rural areas. It sets requirements for collecting, treating and discharging rural domestic sewage and for operating, maintaining and supervising those processes.
Its clauses cover basic requirements, how sewage quantity and quality are determined, collection, treatment, discharge water quality, operation and maintenance, and supervision and complaint handling, with informative annexes on calculating sewage volumes by region, reference values of sewage quality and combinations of treatment processes.
It draws on standards for household biogas digesters, farmland irrigation and fishery water quality, urban sewage discharge and reuse, drainage design and constructed wetlands.
It applies to administrative villages, natural villages and concentrated rural residential areas, and other rural areas can refer to it. It was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 28 December 2018.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the relevant requirements for the collection, treatment, discharge of rural domestic sewage and the operation, maintenance and supervision of the above processes.
This standard is applicable to the treatment of domestic sewage in administrative villages, natural villages and rural concentrated residential areas. Other areas in the countryside can be used Photo execution.
