GB/T 37039-2018 is the Chinese national test method for seven free hazardous solvents left in dye products, listed in its Annex A. The sample is extracted ultrasonically with dichloromethane and the extract is analysed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.
The standard sets out the reagents and materials, including the solvent reference standards, dichloromethane and chromatographically pure methanol, and the instruments: a GC-MS with a single quadrupole mass selective detector, a gas chromatograph with a flame ionization detector, a 30 m capillary column with a 5% diphenyl / 95% dimethyl siloxane phase, and an injector or autosampler.
Results are judged by the rounded value comparison method of GB/T 8170-2008. It applies to all types of dye products and is intended for dye manufacturers and testing laboratories. It was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 November 2019.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the determination methods for seven free-state hazardous solvents remaining in dye products (see Appendix A).

3 Test methods
3.1 Principle
Using dichloromethane as the extractant, the sample was extracted by ultrasonic wave, and the extract was qualitatively analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Quantitative.
3.2 General provisions
Unless otherwise specified, only reagents identified as analytically pure are used. The judgment of the test results shall be repaired according to 4.3.3 of GB/T 8170-2008. The value comparison method is carried out.
3.3 Reagents and materials
3.3.1 Hazardous solvent standards (see Appendix A).
3.3.2 Dichloromethane.
3.3.3 Methanol. Chromatographically pure.
3.4 Instruments and equipment
3.4.1 Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometer. equipped with a single quadrupole mass selection detector (MSD).
3.4.2 Gas chromatograph. equipped with a hydrogen flame ionization detector, the sensitivity and stability of the instrument should meet the requirements of GB/T 9722-2006.
3.4.3 Capillary column. inner diameter 0.25mm, length 30m, film thickness 1.0µm; stationary phase is poly(5% diphenyl/95% dimethyl) siloxane Alkanes, such as DB-5.
3.4.4 Microinjector or autosampler.
3.4.5 Chromatography workstation or integrator.
