Scope
GB/T 36994-2018 is the English-translated version of 风力发电机组 电网适应性测试规程.
GB/T 36994-2018 sets out how to test whether a wind turbine can keep operating correctly when the grid it feeds is disturbed. It covers five kinds of disturbance: voltage deviation, frequency deviation, three-phase voltage imbalance, flicker and harmonic voltage.
For each it describes the test content, then the test equipment, with the grid disturbance generating device and the measuring equipment, and the test procedure, from the basic conditions to the no-load test with the turbine disconnected and the load test with the turbine connected.
It also lists what the test report must contain: recorded data, calculated parameters and uncertainty, with informative annexes on determining response time and on a sample report format.
It applies to grid-connected wind turbines, was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 July 2019.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the test content, test equipment and test procedures for the wind farm adaptability test of wind turbines (hereinafter referred to as wind turbines). And test report content.
This standard applies to grid-connected wind turbines.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Wind turbine adaptability
Wind turbine response in grid voltage deviation, frequency deviation, three-phase voltage imbalance, voltage fluctuations and flicker, harmonic voltage characteristic.
3.2 Grid point/test point
The point at which the voltage or frequency change occurs is the connection point between the grid disturbance generating device and the high voltage side of the wind turbine step-up transformer.
3.3 No-load test
In the case where the wind turbine is disconnected from the grid, the test device produces a test for voltage or frequency changes at the test point.
3.4 Load test
In the case where the wind turbine is connected to the grid, the test device produces a test for voltage or frequency changes at the test point.
3.5 Wind turbine inertia response
After the sudden change of the grid frequency, the characteristics of the wind turbine's active output change with time, referred to as the inertia response.
