Scope
GB/T 36867-2018 is the English-translated version of 粮食钢罩棚设计规范.
GB/T 36867-2018 is the Chinese design code for grain steel sheds, the single-storey steel structures, open or semi-enclosed, used for temporary storage of grain, including railway sheds built for all-weather loading and unloading of grain by rail.
It applies to the design and project planning of new sheds for raw and finished grain. The code sets the grain storage process to follow, architectural design and construction, and structural design with its calculation and detailing requirements.
It also covers fire-fighting facilities, from fire water supply and consumption to extinguishers, and electrical design, including power distribution, lighting, lightning protection and grounding, with references to the national codes for loads, seismic design, steel structures and fire protection. It was issued on 17 September 2018 and has applied since 1 April 2019.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions of grain steel sheds, as well as the basic principles, contents, methods and requirements for the design of grain steel sheds.
This standard is applicable to the design and project planning of new grain steel sheds for temporary storage of raw grain and finished grain.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Grain steel shed
A single-layer steel structure for temporary storage of grain is not enclosed or semi-enclosed structures.
3.2 Railway shed
A grain steel shed built for the all-weather grain loading and unloading operation of the railway.
4 Grain storage technology
According to the requirements of LS/T 1217, the corresponding grain storage process should be adopted according to the requirements of food safety storage and operation, and the corresponding storage should be configured.
