Scope

GB/T 36761-2018 is the English-translated version of 工业用乙二胺.

GB/T 36761-2018 is the Chinese product standard for industrial ethylenediamine, C2H8N2, with a relative molecular mass of 60.1. It sets the requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the rules for marking, packaging, transport and storage.

The product must be a colorless to light yellow viscous liquid and meet the technical indicators of Table 1 for two grades: ethylenediamine content of at least 99.5 % or 99.0 %, moisture of no more than 0.5 %, and a platinum-cobalt color of no more than 20 or 30 Hazen units.

The referenced methods include Karl Fischer water determination, Hazen color measurement, gas chromatography of chemical reagents and sampling of liquid chemical products.
