Scope

GB/T 36698-2018 is the English-translated version of 带式输送机设计计算方法.

GB/T 36698-2018 gives the design calculation method for belt conveyors that carry bulk materials, used to fix the basic parameters and layout of the drive, brakes, take-up device, pulleys, idlers and conveyor belt.

It covers volume and mass throughput, including the cross-section reduction for inclined conveying, the main, additional, lifting and special resistances and the resulting power demand, the drive system with starting, braking and stopping, belt tension and take-up travel, tension distribution across the belt width in trough transitions and curves, belt breaking strength and cover thickness, minimum pulley diameter, idler diameter and spacing, curve radii and belt turnover.

Special conveyors such as wire rope, pipe and air-cushion belt conveyors are excluded. Designers and manufacturers use it, alongside GB/T 10595 and GB 50431. It was issued on 17 September 2018 and has applied since 1 April 2019.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the design calculation of the belt conveyor to determine the main components of the belt conveyor (such as the drive, brakes, tension)

Basic parameters and layout design of the device, roller, idler and conveyor belt.

This standard applies to belt conveyors that transport bulk materials.

This standard does not apply to the design of special belt conveyors such as wire rope traction belt conveyors, tubular belt conveyors, air cushion belt conveyors, etc.

For the calculation of the calculation, the design calculation of the general part can refer to the use of this standard.
