Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".

This document replaces GB/T 16412-2009 "Test Method for Flammability of Propane Single Burner on Conveyor Belts", and is consistent with GB/T 16412-2009.

In comparison, aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) The scope of application has been changed from "general propane combustion test" to "flame-retardant conveyor belts for downhole use," and "other similar fields" has been added. "Refer to the reference execution" to more accurately reflect the background conditions of the experimental method (see Chapter 1);

b) The dimensions of the tunnels were changed (see 4.1, 2009 edition 4.1);

c) The dimensions of the test bench were changed (see 4.2, 2009 edition);

d) ISO 9162 has been replaced by the normatively referenced GB 11174 (see 4.6, Chapter 3 of the 2009 edition);

1 Scope

This document describes a test method for determining the flammability of a two-meter sample of a conveyor belt using the propane burner method.

This document applies to flame-retardant conveyor belts used underground; other similar applications should refer to this document for implementation.
