Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the fluidity of glass chopped strands (hereinafter referred to as chopped strands).

This standard is applicable to glass chopped strands with a length of 3.0mm~4.5mm. Other types of reinforcing fibers, such as carbon fiber, are also available. Refer to use.

3 Principle

Pour a certain amount of chopped strand into a standard discharge bin and measure the time it takes out of the discharge bin to pass through the chopped pass per second.

The quality of the silk is used to judge its fluidity. The larger the value, the better the fluidity, and the worse the fluidity.

4 Instruments

4.1 Electronic balance, the maximum range is at least 500g, accurate to 0.01g.

4.2 The fluidity measuring device consists of a discharge bin, a fixed bracket, a discharge bin baffle control switch, an optical sensor and a timer. figure 1.

a) Discharge bin. Made of 304 stainless steel with a baffle that can control the switch. The inner wall is clean and not allowed to be welded. Seam. The inner surface roughness should meet the requirements of the surface roughness parameter Ra nominally 0.025µm in GB/T 6060.3. Dimensions. total height of at least 300mm, upper diameter (inner diameter) (65.0 ± 0.5) mm, lower mouth diameter (inner diameter) (19.0 ± 0.2) mm, The vertical height of the cone is (84.0 ± 0.5) mm, as shown in Figure 1.

b) Fixed bracket. made of metal material to support the discharge bin, ensuring that the axial centerline of the discharge bin is perpendicular to the horizontal plane.

c) The discharge bin control switch.

d) Optical sensor. Connected to the timer, when the original wire starts to flow out, the timer starts, the original wire flows out, and the timer stops.

e) Timer. accurate to 0.01s, can be controlled by optical sensor.
