Scope

GB/T 43308-2023 is the English-translated version of 玻璃纤维增强热塑性单向预浸料.

GB/T 43308-2023 is the Chinese national product standard for unidirectional prepreg made of continuous glass fibre in a thermoplastic matrix.

It fixes the classification and codes, the product specifications, the requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, packaging, transport and storage; the classification divides the material by matrix resin into polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), polyamide (PA) and other matrices designated by the resin code, and by mechanical performance into a common type C and a high-strength type T. Clause 1 states that it applies to unidirectional prepregs used to make thermoplastic composite products by winding, moulding, pultrusion and similar processes.

Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 1040.5 for tensile properties, GB/T 2577 for resin content and GB/T 32788.6 for mass per unit area. Issued on 27 November 2023, it has applied since 1 June 2024.

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting.

1 Scope

This document stipulates the classification and code name, product specifications, requirements of glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic unidirectional prepreg (hereinafter referred to as "prepreg") requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage.

This document is applicable to thermoplastic resin as the matrix and continuous glass fiber as the reinforced material, which can be used for winding, molding, pultrusion and other processes. Preparation of unidirectional prepregs for thermoplastic composite products.

A unidirectional prepreg with thermoplastic resin as the matrix and glass fiber as the reinforcing material.

4.1 Product classification

4.1.1 According to the type of matrix resin, it is divided into.

---Polypropylene-based prepreg, expressed in PP;

---Polyethylene prepreg, represented by PE;

---Polyamide-based prepreg, represented by PA;

---Other matrix prepregs are represented by the code name of the matrix resin.
