Foreword

This standard, through revision, adopted ISO 5452:1980 "Ferromolybdenum -

Specification and conditions of delivery" (English version).

This standard was redrafted in accordance with ISO 5452:1980. In order to

facilitate comparison, Appendix A lists the comparison of the clause numbers

BETWEEN this standard AND ISO 5452:1980.

Considering Chinese national conditions, this standard made revisions, when

adopting ISO 5452:1980. These technical differences are marked with a single

vertical line, in the margins of the terms they refer to. Appendix B gives a list of

technical differences and their reasons, for reference.

For ease of use, for ISO 5452:1980, this standard has also made the following

editorial changes:

- CHANGE the term "this international standard" to "this standard";

- USE a decimal point ".", to replace the comma ",", which was originally used

as a decimal point;

- DELETE the foreword of ISO 5452:1980.

This standard replaces GB/T 3649-1987 "Ferromolybdenum".

Compared with GB/T 3649-1987, the main changes of this standard are as

follows:

- ADD the foreword of the standard;

- ADD the normative references;

- REDUCE the 9 designations of the original standard to 6 designations;

- ADJUST the content of molybdenum, carbon, sulfur, copper;

- ADD a packaging method;

- ADD Appendix A, Appendix B, Appendix C, Appendix D.

Appendix A, Appendix B, Appendix C, Appendix D of this standard are

informative appendixes.

This standard was proposed by the China Iron and Steel Industry Association.

This standard shall be under the jurisdiction of the National Pig Iron and

Ferroalloy Standardization Technical Committee.

Ferromolybdenum

1 Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection

rules, packaging, storage and transportation, marking and quality certificates of

ferromolybdenum.

This standard applies to ferromolybdenum, which is added, as a molybdenum

additive, in steelmaking, casting or alloy materials.

2 Normative references

The provisions in following documents become the provisions of this Standard

through reference in this Standard. For the dated references, the subsequent

amendments (excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to this Standard;

however, parties who reach an agreement based on this Standard are

encouraged to study if the latest versions of these documents are applicable.

For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document applies.
