GB/T 36291.1-2018 is the English-translated version of 电力安全设施配置技术规范 第1部分:变电站.
GB/T 36291.1-2018 is Part 1 of the Chinese standard on the configuration of safety facilities in the electric power industry, and deals with substations, including switching and converter stations.
It defines the safety colours and the kinds of signs, and covers four groups of safety facilities: safety signs (prohibition, warning, command, prompt, road traffic and fire safety signs), equipment signs, safety warning lines and safety protection facilities.
For each sign it gives the basic form, colours, installation height and viewing angle, and tables of common signs with where they are to be placed, such as No smoking, Beware of electric shock or Must wear a helmet.
An annex gives the production standards for the signboards. Substation owners, operators and maintenance contractors use it. It was issued on 7 June 2018 and has applied since 1 January 2019.
