Scope

GB/T 21426-2026 is the English-translated version of 特殊环境条件 高原对内燃机电站的要求.

GB/T 21426-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering a diesel generating set at altitude - the power it loses as the air thins, the cooling that no longer works as designed, the turbocharger matching, the starting in cold and the derating curves that tell an engineer what they will actually get. It replaces GB/T 21426-2008. It was issued on 28 January 2026 and has been in force since 1 August 2026, replacing GB/T 21426-2008. The document is under the responsibility of the China Electrical Equipment Industry Association. This page is published from the official record of the 2026 edition; the clause text of a standard this recent is not yet in circulation, and the figures, limits and tables it contains are those of the document itself, delivered in full with the English translation.

Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 21426-2008 "Requirements for Internal Combustion Engine Power Stations in High-Altitude Areas under Special Environmental Conditions", and is consistent with GB/T 21426- Compared to.2008, aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

---The scope has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2008 edition);

---The term "internal combustion engine power station system" has been added (see 3.1);

---The terms "high-altitude internal combustion engine power plant" and "standard baseline environmental conditions" have been removed (see

3.2 in the.2008 edition);

---Added requirements regarding "specified output power conditions" (see 4.2.1,.2008 version 4.2.1);

---The requirements for "Ambient Temperature Limits" have been revised (see 4.2.2,.2008 version 4.2.2);

---The requirements for "parameters" have been changed (see 4.3,.2008 version 4.3);

---The requirements for "Rated Power Types and Calibration" have been revised (see 4.4,.2008 version 4.4);

---Changed the relevant content in "Structure and Design" (see 4.5,.2008 version 4.5); added relevant content in "Start-up Measures" and "Rain Protection". The requirements (see 4.5.1, 4.5.3) have been revised, removing "combustion optimization," "low-temperature start-up," and "the electrical system should have reliable breakdown protection and arc extinguishing measures." For relevant requirements regarding "Implementation" (see 4.5.4, 4.5.5, and

4.5.8 in the.2008 edition);

---The requirements related to "temperature rise" have been changed (see 4.8,

4.10 in the.2008 edition);

This document specifies the technical requirements and delivery preparation requirements for internal combustion engine power station systems used in plateau areas at altitudes of.2000m and above. The requirements describe the corresponding experimental rules and methods. This document applies to internal combustion engine power stations with power frequency (50Hz), medium frequency (400Hz), dual frequency (50/400Hz), and DC frequencies.
