Scope
GB/T 36127-2018 is the English-translated version of 玉雕制品工艺质量评价.
GB/T 36127-2018 sets out how the craftsmanship of carved jade products is evaluated and graded. It first classifies jade carving products and defines the categories used: jade jewellery, hand-held play pieces, ornaments, utensils (both traditional and practical), figures, and flower-and-bird carvings.
It then gives the process quality evaluation itself, the requirements for carrying out an evaluation, the rating levels and the contents of the evaluation report.
It applies to jade carvings that are not inlaid, while carved gemstone products may follow it for reference, and the naming of the material refers to GB/T 16552.
The standard gives testing centres and the trade a common basis for judging carving work. It was issued on 14 May 2018 and has applied since 1 December 2018.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This standard stipulates the classification of jade carving products and the quality evaluation and grade of jade carving products.
This standard is applicable to the process quality evaluation of jade carving products that are not inlaid. Gem carving products and jade carving products can be referred to.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Jade carving products
Jade raw materials can be carved and made into various products, which can have certain shapes and patterns.
3.2 Jade jewelry
Jewelry jade carving products made of jade raw materials.
3.3 Jade play piece
Also known as jade hand-playing pieces, made of jade raw materials, carved for the jade carving products that people hold in their hands.
3.4 Jade ornaments
Jade carving products made of jade raw materials and carved for decoration.
3.5 Jade utensils
A jade carving product made of jade raw materials and carved and honed. According to function and shape, it can be divided into.
a) traditional utensils. bottles, stoves, scent, statues, scorpions, scorpions, scorpions, etc.;
b) Practical utensils. cups, bowls, saucers, pots, pots, cans, boxes, etc.
3.6 Jade character
