GB/T 44913-2024 is the Chinese national standard covering gem-quality single crystals whose cracks and cavities have been filled with oil, wax, resin or glass to make them look clearer — the identification procedure, the infrared and Raman spectra that tell one filler from another, the classification requirements and the categories, the naming and expression method, and the identification certificate, which is where a buyer finds out the stone was treated at all. First edition, with the Hetian jade grading standard GB/T 44914-2024, under the Ministry of Natural Resources. In force from 1 June 2025. Issued on 28 November 2024, it has been in force since 1 June 2025.

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 16552, GB/T 16553, GB/T 31912 and GB/T 33541 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 monocrystal gemstones
Produced by nature, it is beautiful, durable, rare, and can be processed into mineral single crystals (may contain twin crystals) for jewelry.
3.2 Filling
Use colorless to nearly colorless oil, wax, resin, glass and other materials to fill the gaps, (open) cracks, and cavities of jewelry and jade, or to inject porous, A fractured gemstone that has been artificially treated to improve or change its clarity, appearance, and durability.

4 Identification
4.1 Identification Process
4.1.1 The species identification of single crystal gemstones shall be carried out in accordance with GB/T 16553.
