Scope
GB/T 35969-2018 is the English-translated version of 标签符合性测试通用技术规范.
GB/T 35969-2018 sets out the general technical rules for checking whether the label of a product conforms to the laws, regulations and standards that apply to it.
It lists the items to be tested: the basic requirements, such as true information in standard Chinese characters and clear, durable marking, and then the product name, producer name and address, the standard implemented, units of measure, technical requirements, date marking, warnings, installation and maintenance instructions, origin and product code.
It also covers the test record and how the test report is prepared and issued, with informative models of both in the annexes, and defines terms such as product label and brand name.
It applies to conformance testing of all kinds of product labels. It was issued on 6 February 2018 and has applied since 1 September 2018.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the general technical requirements for test items, test records, and test reports for label conformity testing.
This standard applies to conformance testing of various product labels.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions as defined by GB/T 27000 and CNAS-CI01 apply to this document.
3.1 Product label
The text, graphics, symbols and all descriptions on the product packaging.
3.2 Conformance testing
The content marked on the product label is tested according to relevant standards.
3.3 New name
The name created by the production enterprise has not been specified by the national standard, industry standard, or local standard.
3.4 Brand name
The name of the product named after the product's trademark.
4 Test items
4.1 Basic requirements
4.1.1 The information identified in the product label must be true and should be indicated on the product or product sales package.
4.1.2 The text used on the product label shall be standard Chinese characters. Can use Pinyin, foreign languages or minority languages at the same time, and it must not be large In the corresponding Chinese characters (except trademarks).
4.1.3 The product label should be clear, firm and easy to identify.
4.1.4 The product label shall comply with the requirements of the relevant laws, regulations and relevant standards.
