GB/T 35967-2018 is a Chinese national guide for testing whether a product label conforms to the rules that apply to it. It sets the requirements for the personnel, the facilities and equipment, the testing procedure, the testing steps and the handling of samples.

Foreword

This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This Standard specifies personnel requirements, facilities and equipment, testing procedures, testing steps and sample management procedures for label conformance testing.

This Standard is applicable to label conformance testing of various products.

3 Terms and definitions

For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions defined in GB/T 27000 and CNAS-CI01.2012 as well as the following ones apply.

3.1 Product label

7.2 Conformance testing

7.2.1 Selection of testing method

Carry on the conformance testing based on the laws, regulations, and current national, industry, local, and corporate standards, in accordance with the scope of the product to which the label belongs.

7.2.2 Testing results and determination

7.2.2.1 Numerical type

It shall meet the following requirements.

a) Use appropriate measuring instruments to measure and accurately read the measured values;

b) Accurately and timely record the measured values and corresponding revision values; the numerical rounding-off shall meet the requirements in GB/T 8170;

c) Compare the measured values with the specified values in the standard; the test result is determined as "conformance" or "non-conformance".

7.2.2.2 Non-numerical type

Test the content described in the label according to the selected test method. The test result is determined as "conformance", "non-conformance" or "inapplicable".

If the product label indicates the product barcode, the test results shall comply with the provisions of GB 12904 and GB/T 18348.

7.2.2.3 Overall determination

The determination is as follow.

a) The whole that the testing results are all conformance and/or inapplicable is determined as conformance;

b) The whole where any item in the testing results is non-conformance is determined as non-conformance. […]
