Scope
GB/T 35018-2018 is the English-translated version of 民用无人驾驶航空器系统分类及分级.
GB/T 35018-2018 sets up a common scheme for classifying and grading civil unmanned aircraft systems, meaning the aircraft together with its control unit, data link, payload and support equipment.
It first sets the principle that a system can be classified from different viewpoints and then graded under each one against a chosen criterion.
The categories include platform configuration, take-off and landing method, power and energy, control method, navigation, detect-and-avoid capability, maximum design operating height, maximum speed, endurance, control range, use, operational visibility, emergency response, operating licence, identification and crash hazard, followed by general grading rules and examples.
It is meant for product development, delivery and safety supervision of these systems. It was issued on 14 May 2018 and has applied since 1 December 2018.
