GB/T 34690.9-2017 is part 9 of GB/T 34690 and deals with the printing stage of digitalized process control for offset printing.

The foreword lists the ten parts of GB/T 34690: overview, operating environment, the receipt and processing of raw data, output file production, soft proofing, digital proofing, computer direct plate making, offset printing equipment, printing, and evaluation methods.

Clause 3 defines offset printing, taken from definition 5.11.1 of GB/T 9851.1-2008, as the lithographic printing in which the ink is first passed from the plate to the blanket and then transferred to the substrate, and gloss, taken from definition 3.1 of GB/T 8941-2013.
