Scope

GB/T 34034-2017 is the English-translated version of 普通照明用LED产品光辐射安全要求.

GB/T 34034-2017 sets the optical radiation safety requirements for light-emitting diode products used in general lighting service. It establishes the general principles for assessing optical radiation safety and for grading optical radiation hazards, and gives the safety precautions such products must carry.

Clause 4 fixes the hazard categories and their emission limits, clause 5 the determination of the accessible optical emission, clause 6 the safety assessment and clause 7 the control measures, with the retinal blue light weighting function B(lambda), the angle of acceptance for each hazard category, the safety distances and the warning labels.

It applies to LED products for general lighting whose main emission wavelength lies in the visible range from 380 nm to 780 nm. It cites GB/T 2900.65 and GB/T 34075. It was issued on 31 July 2017 and has applied since 1 February 2018.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the general lighting with LED products (hereinafter referred to as LED products) optical radiation safety requirements; established LED product light Radiation safety assessment and general principles of light radiation hazard classification; given LED products, optical radiation safety precautions.

This standard applies to the main emission wavelength of visible light (380nm ~ 780nm) various types of general lighting with the production of LED products, seized Test and use.

2 Normative references

The following documents for the application of this document is essential. For dated references, only the dated version applies to this document. For undated references, the latest edition (including all amendments) applies to this document.

3 Terms and definitions

GB/T 2900.65-2004 defined and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Up to light emission accessible optical emission

Under reasonably foreseeable conditions of use, the human eye or skin may be subject to the light emitted by LED products. In order to determine the LED products The hazard category, using up to light emission and emission limits compared to determine.

3.2 Spectral weighting function

The effective spectral efficiency of biological effects caused by different wavelengths is used to calculate the effective magnitude of the corresponding photobiological effect.

3.3 Angle of reception angle of acceptance

The detector has a flat angle of response to light radiation.

3.4 Opposite angular subtense

Apparent light source to the observer's eye or measuring point formed by the perspective. The standard angle of the angle refers to the whole corner, not half-width. The unit is radian (rad).

Note 1: Mirrors and lenses used as projection devices usually change the angle of the anisotropy, that is, the apparent light source is different from the actual light source.

3.5 Blue light hazard; BLH

Photochemical-induced retinal damage induced by radiation exposure in the wavelength range from 300 nm to 700 nm.
