This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part
1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting is required. This document replaces GB /Z 18462-2001 "Performance specification and standard inspection procedure for metal cutting of laser processing machinery" and Compared with GB /Z 18462-2001, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows: Increased the scope of application (see Chapter 1);
a) The terms and definitions of trailing angle, nodule, complete cutting and interrupted cutting (see 3.1, 3.2,
3.5 of the.2001 edition) have been deleted;
b) Added the terms and definitions of dross and verticality (see
c) Added cutting performance requirements for laser processing machinery (see
d) Deleted mechanical and process parameters (see Chapter 4 of the.2001 edition);

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 15313 and the following apply to this document.
3.1 adhering slag Solidified metal slag attached to the lower edge of the cut surface after cutting.
3.2 Heataffectedzone width The maximum distance between the cut plane and the point where changes in material properties due to cutting heat can be observed, measured perpendicular to the cut plane.
3.3 Kerf width The distance between the two sides of the cut where the laser beam enters the workpiece.
3.4 recast layer During laser processing, due to the high energy density and rapid heating of the laser, the surface of the material melts and re-solidifies to form a layer Material.
3.5 Verticality squareness The maximum vertical distance between the expected and actual cut planes.
