Scope
GB/T 33943-2017 is the English-translated version of 钢结构用高强度锚栓连接副.
GB/T 33943-2017 is the Chinese national standard for high-strength structural anchor bolting assemblies for steel structures, and an official English translation of it exists.
It specifies assemblies made of carbon steel and alloy steel with thread specification M20 to M64, and it applies to the anchoring of the foundations of buildings and structures.
The assembly consists of anchor stud, nut and washer. The anchor stud comes in Type A and Type B, Type B being limited to specifications up to M39 and to property level 8.8; the combinations of property level are 10.9 stud with grade 10 nut and washer of 35 HRC to 45 HRC, and 8.8 stud with grade 8 nut and the same washer hardness.
Threads are tolerance class 6g, the product grade is C, surface treatment is either none or hot dip galvanizing to GB/T 5267.3, and the risk of hydrogen embrittlement has to be considered for property level 10.9; cadmium and cadmium alloy coatings are not allowed.
It also gives the test methods, the inspection rules by lot and the designation, marking, packaging and quality warranty, with designations of the form Anchor stud GB/T 33943 M42x1200 tZn.
It cites GB/T 90.2, GB/T 193, GB/T 228.1, GB/T 230.1, GB/T 1237, GB/T 3098.1, GB/T 3098.2, GB/T 3103.1, GB/T 3103.3, GB/T 4340.1, GB/T 5267.3, GB/T 5276, GB/T 5779.1, GB/T 5779.2, GB/T 9145 and GB/T 22028.
It carries ICS 21.060.10 and Chinese classification J 13, was issued on 12 July 2017 and has applied since 1 February 2018.

3 Type dimensions
3.1 Structural anchor bolting assemblies
The structural anchor bolting assemblies consist of anchor stud, nut, and washer.
3.2 Anchor stud
3.2.1 Type of anchor stud
The types of anchor stud are Type A and Type B (see Figure 1). Type B is only applicable to specification less than or equal to M39 and property level 8.8.
3.2.2 Dimensions of anchor stud
3.2.2.1 The dimensions of anchor stud are shown in Table 1. The symbols and descriptions of dimensions shall conform to GB/T 5276.
4 Technical conditions of structural anchor bolting assemblies
4.2 Technical conditions of anchor stud
The technical conditions and reference standards for anchor stud are shown in Table 5.
The mechanical properties of anchor stud specimen are shown in Table 6.
The tensile load of physical anchor stud is shown in Table 7.
Material: Steel. Screw thread: Tolerances 6g a, Standards GB/T 193, GB/T 9145. Mechanical properties: Property level 8.8 b or 10.9 b, Standard GB/T 3098.1.
