GB/T 15389-2025Fasteners — Threaded rods (English PDF)

Foreword

This document was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2020, Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents.

This document replaces GB/T 15389-1994, Threaded rods. Compared with GB/T 15389-1994, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial modifications, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) Add a type of threaded rods with chamfered ends (see Figure 1, Table 1, and Table 2);

b) Change the length series (see Table 1; Table 2 of the 1994 edition), and add the theoretical mass of threaded rods (see Table 1);

c) Add specifications M2~M3.5 and M45~M72 (see Table 1);

d) Remove the performance grade 4.6 (see Table 3 of the 1994 edition), and add performance grades 8.8, 10.9, and 12.9, as well as stainless steel groups and performance grades A2-50, A4-50, A4-80, D4-70, D4-80, D6-70, and D6-80 (see Table 2);

e) Remove non-ferrous metal threaded rods (see Table 3 of the 1994 edition);

f) For steel threaded rods, add the technical requirements for non-electrolytically applied zinc flake coatings to be as specified in GB/T 5267.2, and the technical requirements for hot dip galvanized coatings to be as specified in GB/T 5267.3 (see Table 2);

g) For stainless steel threaded rods, add requirements for passivation (see Table

2);

h) Add marking and labels (see Chapter 6).

1 Scope

This document specifies the types, dimensions, technical requirements, marking, labels, and designation of threaded rods.

This document applies to threaded rods with coarse threads M2~M68, fine pitch threads M8x1~M72x6, and performance grades 4.8, 5.6, 5.8, 8.8, 10.9, 12.9, A2-50, A2-70, A4-50, A4-70, A4-80, D4-70, D4-80, D6-70, and D6-80.

4 Types and dimensions

The types of threaded rods shall be as shown in Figure 1, and the dimensions in Table 1.
