GB/T 32980-2016 is the English-translated version of 农业社会化服务 农作物病虫害防治服务质量要求.

GB/T 32980-2016 fixes the basic requirements for crop pest control services and the quality requirements for the individual parts of such a service, which clause 1 lists as contract management, programme design, information services, job services, archives management, emergency management, complaint handling and satisfaction surveys, among others, and it also gives the main quality indicators for crop pest control services.

The same clause says the standard applies to the provision and the management of these services and serves as a basis on which the various kinds of crop pest control service, or the organizations that provide them, can be chosen.

Clause 2 cites all parts of GB/T 8321 on the rational use of pesticides and GB 12475 on the storage, sale and use of pesticides, together with a document on the general principles for the safe use of pesticides whose code the list omits.

Clause 3 defines crop pest control as the appropriate measures taken to reduce or prevent crop pests and diseases, the crop pest control service as the set of control activities carried out, and the results they produce, by an organization with the corresponding plant protection expertise and equipment according to the needs of the party it serves, the crop pest control programme as the comprehensive set of measures worked out from the type, extent, harm, area and expected control targets of the crop pests and diseases concerned and from the guidance, analysis and evaluation of agricultural plant protection bodies, and the crop pest control service contract as the contract between the supplier and the user of the service.

The draft breaks off after those definitions, so the requirement clauses announced in clause 1 are not displayed.

The standard was proposed and is held by the China Standardization Research Institute, and the drafting bodies include that institute, the Liaoning Provincial Standardization Research Institute, Northwest A & F University, the Anhui Province Quality and Standards institute, the Yunnan Institute of Standardization and Yunnan Agricultural University.

It carries ICS 03.080.01 and Chinese classification B16. It was issued on 29 August 2016 and has applied since 1 October 2016.
