Scope

GB/T 32120-2022 is the English-translated version of 钢结构氧化聚合型包覆腐蚀控制技术.

GB/T 32120-2022 covers the oxidative-polymerization coating used to control corrosion on steel structures. It specifies the structure of the anti-corrosion layer, the materials it is made of, construction, inspection and acceptance, and operation, maintenance and management, and it applies to steel structures in atmospheric environments.

It defines the anti-corrosion paste, made mainly of vegetable oil with corrosion inhibitors, rust inhibitors and inorganic fillers. Four normative annexes give the test methods for rust, water paste displacement, insulation resistance and peel strength.

Against the 2015 edition it drops the anti-corrosion mortar, replaces tensile strength with breaking strength, adds combustion performance requirements and drops the ignition point.

It replaces GB/T 32120-2015, was issued on 30 December 2022 and has applied since 1 July 2023.

Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules for Standardization Documents" drafting.

This document replaces GB/T 32120-2015 "Steel Structure Oxidative Polymerization Coating Anticorrosion Technology", and is consistent with GB/T 32120-2015 In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) Deleted the term "anti-corrosion mortar" (see 3.4 of the 2015 edition);

b) Delete the anti-corrosion mortar (see 5.2 of the 2015 edition);

c) Change "tensile strength" to "breaking strength" and change the corresponding requirements (see Table 2, Table 3 of the 2015 edition);

d) Added requirements and testing methods for "combustion performance" (see Table 2);

e) Delete the "ignition point" requirements and detection methods (see Table 4 of the 2015 edition);

f) Added steel structure surface treatment (see 6.2.1.2);

g) The filling of anti-corrosion mortar has been deleted (see 6.2.3 of the 2015 edition);

h) The total thickness of anti-corrosion paste and anti-corrosion tape has been changed (see 6.2.3.5, 6.2.4.5 of the 2015 edition);

i) The total thickness of the anti-corrosion layer has been changed (see 7.3.3, 7.3.3 of the 2015 edition);

j) The method of electric spark leak detection has been changed (see 7.4, 7.4 of the 2015 edition).

1 Scope

This document specifies the anti-corrosion layer structure, anti-corrosion layer material, construction, inspection and acceptance, Operation maintenance and management.

This document applies to the control of oxidation-polymerization-type cladding corrosion of steel structures in atmospheric environments.
