Scope

GB/T 31301.1-2026 is the English-translated version of 制鞋机械 安全要求 第1部分:绷帮机.

This standard is Part 1 of the safety requirements for footwear manufacturing machines and addresses lasting machines. Lasting machines shape the shoe upper over a last, and like other industrial machinery they present hazards to operators. The document is of use to machine designers and manufacturers, footwear factories, safety engineers, machinery importers and inspection bodies who have to judge whether a machine can be supplied and operated safely.

It is a recommended national standard, issued on 28 September 2026 and effective from 1 April 2027. It replaces GB/T 31301.1-2015, so manufacturers whose declarations or manuals refer to the older edition should check them. Use is voluntary unless a contract, customer or regulation requires it. Footwear equipment exporters targeting China and factories there that buy machinery from abroad can use the document to frame safety discussions and design reviews, together with whatever general machinery safety rules also apply.
