3.1 Direct coal liquefaction
Coal under the action of high pressure, high temperature and the hydrogenation reaction catalyst with hydrogen, whereby liquid fuel directly into the process.

3.2 CLR coalliquefactionresidue
Direct coal liquefaction product by heavy liquid separation (mainly for the vacuum distillation) after solid mixture containing liquefied heavy oil, bitumen class
Substances, unconverted organic matter in coal, minerals and catalyst.
3.3 Liquefaction residue ash
After liquefaction residue under specified conditions for complete combustion resulting residue accounted for liquefaction residue mass fraction.
4 Method summary
Weigh a certain amount of liquefaction residue sample, placed in a muffle furnace at a certain speed was raised to 500 °C and stay 30min, continue to heat up
To 850 °C, ignition to constant mass, the mass fraction remaining after burning a sample substances accounted for as liquefaction residue ash.
