Scope
GB/T 29502-2021 is the English-translated version of 硫铁矿烧渣.
GB/T 29502-2021 is the Chinese national standard for pyrite cinder, the iron-bearing residue left when pyrite is roasted.
It gives the product classification, the technical requirements - the iron content and the limits on sulphur and the other elements that matter downstream, and the moisture and particle size - the test methods, the inspection rules, the provisions on marking, packaging, transport and storage, the accompanying documents and the contents of an order.
It applies to the cinder produced by roasting pyrite, pyrite concentrate or ferrous sulfate in a fluidised bed furnace. Sulphuric acid plants, sinter plants and cement works use it.
It replaces GB/T 29502-2013, was issued on 31 December 2021 and has applied since 1 July 2022.

Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1. Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" drafted.
This document replaces GB/T 29502-2013 "pyrite slag", compared with GB/T 29502-2013, except for structural adjustment and editorial In addition to the changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
a) Changed the scope of products, and changed "applicable to the slag produced by high temperature roasting of pyrite, mainly used for the manufacture of iron pellets and iron making".
Changed to "applicable to pyrite (or pyrite concentrate, ferrous sulfate) iron-containing materials produced by boiling furnace roasting, used for raw materials in the iron and steel industry.
It can also be used as an iron correction material for cement production" (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the:2013 edition);
b) Added normative references GB/T 6730.81 and GB/T 10322.1, deleted normative references GB/T 6730.9,
GB/T 2007.1, GB/T 2007.2, GB/T 2466, GB/T 2467 and GB/T 2468 (see Chapter 2,:2013 edition of chapter 2);
c) Added the terms and definitions of "pyrite slag" (see 3.1);
d) The technical indicators of the mass fraction of total iron and arsenic have been changed, and the mass fraction of total iron of the first-grade product is not less than 60.0% and the mass fraction is not less than 60.0%.
At 62.0%, change the mass fraction of the first-grade arsenic not more than 0.05% to a mass fraction of no more than 0.03%, and change the mass of the second-grade arsenic The score is not more than 0.08% and the quality score is not more than 0.07% (see 5.1, 3.2 of the:2013 edition);
e) The technical indicators of sulfur mass fraction have been changed, and the mass fraction of third-grade sulfur is not more than 2.5% to a mass fraction of not more than 2.0% (see 5.1, 3.2 of the:2013 edition);
f) Added the technical indicators of chromium and cadmium (see 5.1);
g) Added "the color of the same batch of products should be basically uniform, without lumps" (see 5.4);
h) Added the determination methods for arsenic, chromium and cadmium (see 6.1);
i) The inspection of appearance quality is added (see 6.4);
j) Changed the inspection and acceptance, and changed "each delivery batch shall be inspected by the supplier's quality inspection department" to "the product shall be inspected by the supplier or Inspection by a third-party inspection agency" (see 7.1, 5.1 of the:2013 edition);
k) Changed the inspection items, and changed "Moisture, total iron and sulfur are the ex-factory inspection items specified in this standard" to "Each batch of pyrite slag should be inspection of chemical composition, moisture, particle size and appearance quality"; deleted "under normal production conditions, at least once a month type inspection" (see 7.3, 5.3 of the:2013 edition);
l) Changed the implementation standard of sampling and sample preparation, changed GB/T 2007.1 and GB/T 2007.2 to GB/T 10322.1 (see GB/T 2007.1 and GB/T 2007.2). 7.4.1, 5.4.1, 5.4.2 of the:2013 edition);
m) The requirements for product storage have been changed, and "the storage site of the product should be a hard floor with anti-corrosion and anti-leakage, and there should be barriers around the site.
Water walls, drainage ditches and collection and sedimentation tanks" are changed to "Products should be stored in closed warehouses (or warehouses), and the storage warehouses (or warehouses) are required to be protected.
Take protective measures such as seepage, dust suppression, and wall skirt impermeability, avoid rain and dust, and implement accident risk prevention measures to prevent damage to groundwater, surface water, surrounding air, etc:" (see 8.2.3, 6.3.2 of the:2013 edition);
n) Added accompanying files (see 8.3).
