Scope
GB/T 28426-2021 is the English-translated version of 铁路大型养路机械 钢轨探伤车.
GB/T 28426-2021 is the Chinese national standard for the rail flaw detection vehicle, the car that runs the track looking for defects in the rails.
It gives the operating conditions, the technical requirements - the detection capability of the ultrasonic system, the running gear and the vehicle, the recording and analysis of the data, the safety and the reliability - the inspection and test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions on marking, packaging and transport.
It applies to the ultrasonic flaw detection vehicles used on 1435 mm gauge railways. Vehicle makers and railway administrations use it. It replaces GB/T 28426-2012, was issued on 31 December 2021 and has applied since 1 July 2022.

Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1. Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" drafted.
This document replaces GB/T 28426-2012 "Large Ultrasonic Rail Flaw Detection Vehicle", compared with GB/T 28426-2012, except for editorial The main technical changes outside the modification are as follows:
a) Changed the definition of the term "rail flaw detection vehicle" (see 3.1, 3.1 of the:2012 edition);
b) The terms and definitions of "artificial damage detection" and "damage false alarm" were deleted (see 3.2 and 3.3 of the:2012 edition);
c) Added the terms and definitions of "echo pattern", "detection", "fixed echo" and "false alarm" (see 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 3.5);
d) The conditions of use such as environment and lines have been changed (see 4.1, 4.2, 4.1 and 4.2 of the:2012 edition);
e) The technical requirements such as the maximum self-running speed and the maximum flaw detection speed of the whole vehicle have been changed (see 5.1, 4.3 and 5.1 of the:2012 edition);
f) Changed the technical requirements for the backup system of the power transmission system, fuel tank capacity, etc. (see 5.2.1, 5.2 of the:2012 edition);
g) Changed the technical requirements for bogies, axle gearboxes and braking devices in the running system (see 5.2.2, 5.5 of the:2012 edition);
h) Changed the oil temperature requirements after continuous operation of the hydraulic system and the requirements for the external air supply and intake interface of the pneumatic system (see 5.2.3,:2012 5.9 of the year edition);
i) Changed the performance requirements of the brake used in the air brake system (see 5.2.4, 5.6 of the:2012 edition);
j) Changed the technical requirements for electrical system installation and wiring, electromagnetic compatibility (see 5.2.5, 5.7 of the:2012 edition);
k) Changed the requirements for non-destructive testing of important welds of the main frame of the car body (see 5.2.6, 5.3 and 5.4 of the:2012 edition);
l) Changed the noise-related requirements of the driver's cab and the flaw detection operating room (see 5.2.7, 5.4 of the:2012 edition);
m) Changed the assembly requirements of the coupler buffer device, the height of the coupler center from the rail surface, etc. (see 5.2.8, 5.3 of the:2012 edition);
n) Changed the requirements for the setting position and illuminance value of lighting devices (see 5.2.9, 5.8 of the:2012 edition);
o) The technical requirements for classification and anti-corrosion of water supply devices have been changed (see 5.2.10, 5.10 of the:2012 edition);
p) Changed the safety requirements for the probe support mechanism and the functional requirements for coupling water and rim water spraying (see 5.3.1,:2012 edition of 5.11.2);
q) The probe centering system (see 5.3.2) and safety alarm device (see 5.4) are added;
r) Changed the technical requirements such as the average damage false alarm rate of the ultrasonic inspection system (see 5.3.3, 5.11.3 of the:2012 edition);
s) Delete the ultrasonic transducer requirements (see 5.11.1 of the:2012 edition);
t) The inspection and test methods of operational performance tests and operational performance tests have been changed (see Chapter 6, Chapter 6 of the:2012 edition);
u) Changed the inspection rules for complete vehicle, component performance and operating performance (see Chapter 7, Chapter 7 of the:2012 edition).
1 Scope
This document specifies the operating conditions, technical requirements, inspection and test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and transportation.
This document applies to the use of ultrasonic technology rail flaw detection vehicles (hereinafter referred to as "flaw detection vehicles") used on 1435mm gauge railways.
Design, manufacture and inspection. Flaw detection vehicles for non-standard gauge railways can be implemented by reference.
