Scope

GB/T 25337-2018 is the English-translated version of 铁路大型养路机械 通用技术条件.

China's national general technical specification for railway heavy-duty track maintenance machinery. It specifies the general requirements for the design, manufacture and acceptance of the large self-propelled machines used to maintain railway track. Track maintenance is the largest recurring cost of a railway, and the machines that do it are what made modern track possible: continuously welded rail on concrete sleepers cannot be maintained by hand, and the geometry a high-speed line requires is beyond what manual methods can hold. So a railway operates a fleet of specialised vehicles - tampers that lift, line and pack the ballast under the sleepers, regulators that redistribute it, stabilisers that consolidate the track after tamping so it does not settle unevenly under the first trains, grinders that reprofile the railhead, and ballast cleaners that excavate, screen and return the ballast. This standard states what all of them have to be, leaving the type-specific requirements to the individual standards. The distinctive constraints are those of a machine that is also a train. It must be able to run in a train path at line speed, which brings it under the rolling stock requirements for brakes, running behaviour, gauge and coupling. It works in a possession with a limited window, so setting up, working and clearing the line have to happen within it - and reliability is a safety matter rather than an availability one, since a machine that fails in the possession blocks the railway. And it works among people on foot in a live railway environment. The requirements accordingly cover the vehicle aspects, the working systems and their control, the measuring and guidance systems, the operator environment, the reliability and maintainability, and the safety. Issued on 14 May 2018 and in force since 1 December 2018, it replaces GB/T 25337-2010.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This standard replaces GB/T 25337-2010 "General technical conditions for railway large-scale line machinery", compared with GB/T 25337-2010, The main technical changes except editorial changes are as follows:

--- Removed vendor and user terms and definitions (see.2010, 3.1, 3.2);

--- Revised relative humidity (see 4.1.2,.2010 version 4.1.2);

---Modified ambient temperature (see 4.1.3,.2010 version 4.1.3);

--- Removed the sleeper type (see

4.2.4 of the.2010 edition);

--- Removed the requirement that the interior equipment bears the longitudinal acceleration shock of the whole vehicle (see

4.3.8 of the.2010 edition);

--- Removed continuous operation time and normal continuous working time requirements in the tunnel (see

4.3.17 of.2010 edition);

--- Deleted the job status lower bound requirement (see

4.3.2 of the.2010 edition);

---Modified the requirements for braking distance of large road maintenance machinery (see 5.23,

4.3.14 of.2010 edition);

1 Scope

China's national general technical specification for railway heavy-duty track maintenance machinery. It specifies the general requirements for the design, manufacture and acceptance of the large self-propelled machines used to maintain railway track. Track maintenance is the largest recurring cost of a railway, and the machines that do it are what made modern track possible: continuously welded rail on concrete sleepers cannot be maintained by hand, and the geometry a high-speed line requires is beyond what manual methods can hold. Issued on 14 May 2018 and in force since 1 December 2018, it replaces GB/T 25337-2010.

This standard specifies the terms and definitions of railway large-scale road maintenance machinery, the conditions of use, the requirements of the whole vehicle and each system (component), and the high altitude. Special requirements for road maintenance machinery, inspection and testing, marking, packaging and transportation of vehicles. This standard applies to railway large-scale road maintenance machinery used on 1435mm gauge. Non-standard gauge railway large-scale road maintenance machinery Refer to the implementation.
