Foreword

This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This Standard replaces GB/T 26278-2010, Tyre size substitution guide; compared with GB/T 26278-2010, the main technical changes are as follow:

-- Modify terms and definitions (see Chapter 3; Chapter 3 of the 2010 edition);

-- Modify requirements for the outer dimensions of substitution tyres (see 4.4; 4.4 of the 2010 edition);

-- Modify requirements for the matching rims when replacing (see 4.5; 4.5 of the 2010 edition);

-- Add examples of the substitution tyre size (see Appendix A).

1 Scope

This Standard specifies the requirements for tyre size substitution. This Standard applies to passenger car tyres and truck tyres.

3 Terms and definitions

Terms and definitions determined by GB/T 6326 and the following ones are applicable to this document.

4.1 Substitution tyres shall meet the requirements of GB 9743 and GB 9744.
