Foreword

This document is drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2020, Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents.

This document replaces GB/T 25831-2010. Compared with GB/T 25831-2010, apart from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) the grades and chemical compositions of wrought superalloys commonly used for spring wire, upsetting wire and brush wire have been added (see 7.1);

b) the melting methods for each grade have been added (see 7.2);

c) the delivery conditions for each grade have been added (see 7.3);

d) the mechanical properties for each grade have been added (see 7.4);

e) the technical requirements for microstructure and macrostructure have been clarified (see 7.5, 7.6 and 7.8);

f) the process performance requirements for upsetting wire and brush wire have been added (see 7.7);

g) the ultrasonic testing requirements for each grade have been added (see 7.9).
