Scope

GB/T 25697-2013 is the English-translated version of 道路施工与养护机械设备 沥青路面就地热再生复拌机.

China's national standard for hot in-place recycling remixers for asphalt pavement. It specifies the terms and definitions, the types and basic parameters, the technical requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules for the machines that recycle an asphalt surface in place while hot. Hot in-place recycling does in one pass, on the road, what the alternative does in three operations and two haulage movements. The conventional repair of a worn asphalt surface is to mill it off, cart the millings to a plant, and lay new material brought back from the plant - which consumes new aggregate and bitumen, generates a large amount of haulage, and closes the road for the duration. A remixer heats the existing surface with radiant heaters, scarifies it hot, mixes the recovered material with a rejuvenator and usually with a proportion of new hot mix, and lays and compacts the result immediately behind itself. The road is recycled where it lies, the old bitumen is reused rather than discarded, and traffic follows the machine. The difficulty is heat. Asphalt must be brought to working temperature through its full treatment depth without burning the surface, and bitumen degrades if it is overheated - a machine that heats too fast produces a black smoking surface and a hardened binder underneath that will crack within a season. So the heating system, its control and the temperature profile achieved are the central requirements. Around them sit the scarifier and its depth control, the mixing and the rejuvenator metering, the paving screed and the finish and level achieved, the emissions from the heaters, and the safety of a machine carrying large open heaters over a public road. Issued on 31 December 2013 and in force since 1 October 2014, it replaces GB/T 25697-2010.

--- Modify the "Terms and Definitions" Central "comprehensive" and a "fractional step method" Hot Recycling Asphalt Pavement reclaimer term as "compound" and "Step by Step" Hot Recycling Asphalt Pavement re-mixing machine, adding a definition of "Asphalt Pavement thermal regeneration unit complex mix" of repair Changed the "technical capability" is defined as part of the "parts" and (see 3.1,3.2,3.3);

--- Modified "category and parameters" in the way of job classification by type and main parameters required (see Chapter 4);

--- Modify the "technical requirements" on the job performance of recycled asphalt mix requirements [see 5.2.10f)];

--- Modify the "technical requirements" on "mixing system" and "safety, environmental protection requirements" of the technical requirements (see 5.4.10,5.5.7);

--- Remove the "technical requirements" of "bitumen solution spray system," adds "regenerated catalyst spray system" and "bitumen spray system." (See 5.4.7,5.4.8);

--- Increased "technical requirements" in part "performance requirements" content (see 5.2.13 ~ 5.2.16,5.5.9);

--- Delete the words "test" in the tire ground pressure, diesel, heating means embedded thermocouples and other requirements and test methods;

--- Modify the "Test Method" in the "Test Site Requirements" [see 6.1.3d), 6.1.6]; "Heating fuel consumption test" "measurement" add new asphalt transportation system capacity
