Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting. This document stipulates quality-related technical requirements. Food safety-related requirements can be found in relevant laws, regulations, policies and food safety standards. document. This document replaces GB/T 25436-2010 "Heat-sealable Tea Filter Paper" and GB/T 28121-2011 "Non-Heat-sealable Tea Filter Paper". This document is based on GB/T 25436-2010 and integrates the contents of GB/T 28121-2011.Compatible with GB/T 25436-2010 In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) The scope of application of the document has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of GB/T 25436-2010);

b) Product classification has been changed (see Chapter 4, Chapter 3 of GB/T 25436-2010);

c) Delete the requirements for heat-sealing tea filter paper with a basis weight of "17.5g/m2" and "22.0g/m2" (see GB/T 25436-2010 Table 1);

d) Added requirements for heat-sealing tea filter paper with a basis weight of "25.0g/m2" and "28.0g/m2" (see Table 1);

e) The requirements and test methods for tightness have been changed (see Tables 1 and 6.3, Tables 1 and

5.3 of GB/T 25436-2010);

f) Changed the requirements for tensile strength, longitudinal wet tensile strength and delivery moisture (see Table 1, Table 1 of GB/T 25436-2010);

g) Change "air permeability" to "air permeability", and change the requirements and test methods (see Tables 1 and 6.7, GB/T 25436-2010 Tables 1 and 5.6);

h) The requirements for water filtration time and test methods are deleted (see Tables 1 and

5.7 of GB/T 25436-2010);

i) Added requirements and test methods for D65 brightness (see Table 1 and 6.8);

j) Added the inherent quality requirements for non-heat sealing tea filter paper (see Table 2);

1 Scope

China's national product standard for teabag filter paper. It specifies the classification, the requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, packaging, transport and storage of the paper used to make teabags. This paper has to do several incompatible things at once, which is why it is a specified product rather than a light tissue. It must be porous enough for water to enter and the infusion to leave freely, since the whole point of the bag is that the tea brews inside it - and fine enough to retain the fannings and dust that a teabag is filled with, which are small by design. It must be strong when wet, because it is immersed in near-boiling water and then squeezed against a cup by a spoon, and a bag that tears releases the leaf. It must be formed and sealed at high speed on a machine that makes hundreds of bags a minute, which is why much of it is a heat-sealable grade with a thermoplastic fibre blended in on one side. And it must contribute nothing at all to the drink: no taste, no odour, and nothing that migrates out of it into hot water. The last requirement is the one that shapes the composition. The furnish is typically abaca and wood pulp; fluorescent whitening agents are prohibited or tightly limited, because a whitened paper in a cup is a direct route into the drink; and the migration limits, the sensory neutrality and the microbiological cleanliness are all specified. So the standard covers the grammage and thickness, the air permeability and the wet and dry strength, the heat-seal performance for the sealable grades, the retention, and the safety requirements that apply to a food contact material used in this way. Issued on 7 September 2023 and in force since 1 April 2024, it replaces GB/T 25436-2010.

This document gives the product classification of tea filter paper, stipulates the technical requirements, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation and storage, and describes the relevant Appropriate test methods. This document applies to the design, production, R&D and testing of filter paper for automatic packaging of heat-sealing and non-heat-sealing tea bag machinery.

4 Product categories

4.1 Tea filter paper is divided into heat-sealing tea filter paper and non-heat-sealing tea filter paper according to its performance.

4.2 Tea filter paper is divided into white tea filter paper and natural tea filter paper according to color.

5 Technical requirements

5.1 Intrinsic quality The intrinsic quality of heat-sealing tea filter paper should comply with the requirements in Table 1, and the intrinsic quality of non-heat-sealing tea filter paper should comply with the requirements in Table 2.
