Scope
GB/T 25345-2010 is the English-translated version of 食品金属探测器.
GB/T 25345-2010 covers metal detectors used in food production, setting the terms and definitions, the model designation, the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the requirements for marking, packaging, transport and storage.
Clause 1 states that it applies to the design, manufacture and inspection of food metal detectors, and excludes metal packaging from its field of application.
Its contents list names a scope clause, normative references, terms and definitions, clause 4 on model designation, clause 5 on technical requirements, clause 6 on test methods, clause 7 on inspection rules, clause 8 on decision rules and clause 9 on marks, packaging, transport and storage, followed by normative Annex A on standard samples.
Clause 3 describes the equipment as a device that detects metallic contaminants in food and raises an alarm, and defines sensitivity as the smallest metal object that can be reliably detected, expressed as a diameter, the detecting hole as the cross-sectional size through which the object under test passes, and the detecting position as the centre point of that hole.
The standard quotes, among others, the cold, dry heat and damp heat environmental tests of GB/T 2423, the enclosure protection codes of GB 4208-2008, the electrical safety requirements of GB 5226.1-2008, the food machinery safety and hygiene requirements of GB 16798-1997 and the lubricant requirements of GB 15179, the electrical fast transient, surge and voltage dip immunity tests of GB/T 17626, and the painted surface requirements of SB/T 228-2007.
The standard was proposed and is administered by the China National Institute of Standardization and was drafted by an electronic detection instrument works in Qingdao, with the Qingdao product quality supervision and inspection authority taking part. It was issued on 10 November 2010 and has applied since 1 May 2011.
