Scope

GB/T 25217.3-2019 is the English-translated version of 冲击地压测定、监测与防治方法 第3部分:煤岩组合试件冲击倾向性分类及指数的测定方法.

GB/T 25217.3-2019 is the Chinese national method for grading how prone a combined coal-and-rock laboratory specimen is to rock burst. As Part 3 of GB/T 25217, it fixes the terms used in that grading, the requirements on the instruments, the specification of the combination specimen and the procedure for measuring the index.

The index is the residual energy index WRE, the ratio of the peak elastic energy density to the post-peak failure energy density of the specimen under uniaxial compression, and the specimen is sorted into three classes according to its value.

It cites GB/T 23561.1-2009 and GB/T 25217.2-2010. Mining laboratories use it when the burst liability of a coal seam together with its surrounding rock has to be established. It was issued on 18 October 2019 and has applied since 1 May 2020.

This part is the third part of GB/T 25217.

This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 25217 specifies the terms and definitions of the impact tendency classification and index measurement of coal and rock composite test pieces.

Classification of impact tendency and index measurement of coal and rock composite test pieces, specification requirements of instrument equipment, combined test pieces and impact tendency of combined test pieces determination.

This section applies to the determination of the impact tendency of coal and rock composite test pieces.

2 Normative references

The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only dated versions apply to this document. For undated references, the latest edition (including all amendments) applies to this document.

GB/T 23561.1-2009 Determination of physical and mechanical properties of coal and rock - Part 1

Methods of determination of physico-mechanical properties of coal and rock - Part 7. Determination of uniaxial compressive strength and softening systems Number calculation method

GB/T 25217.2-2010 Methods of measurement, monitoring and control of impacts - Part 2: Classification and index of impact of coal Measuring method

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Coal and rock combination test piece

Laboratory standard test piece formed by coal and rock combination.

3.2 Impact tendency of coal and rock composite test pieces

The coal-rock combination test piece has the property of accumulating deformation energy and generating instantaneous impact damage.

Note: Rewrite GB/T 16414-2008, definition 4.12.

3.3 Residual energy index

The ratio of the peak elastic energy density to the post-peak failure energy density of the coal-rock composite specimen under uniaxial compression.

4 Classification and index of impact tendency of coal and rock composite specimens

The strength of the impact tendency of the coal-rock composite test piece is measured according to the measured residual energy index. Coal rock combination test piece impact tendency Sex is classified into three categories according to the size of its index value, as shown in Table 1. […]
