GB/T 2476-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the letter codes by which an abrasive grain is named — the natural grades of corundum and garnet, the fused and sintered corundums from brown and white through single crystal, microcrystalline, chrome, zirconia and the newly added semi-brittle, the silicon carbides and boron carbide, and the codes for grain that has been treated after making, so that two suppliers describe the same material the same way. It replaces GB/T 2476-2016, under the China Machinery Industry Federation. In force from 1 January 2026. Issued on 30 June 2025, it has been in force since 1 January 2026, replacing GB/T 2476-2016.
