Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part

1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 24116-2009 "Cheese-dyed yarn for knitting" and GB/T 24345-2009 "Cheese-dyed yarn for weaving" This document is based on GB/T 24345-2009 and integrates the contents of GB/T 24116-2009. Compared with the previous version, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

--- Changed the scope of application (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of GB/T 24345-2009);

--- Deleted the term and definition "sample difference" (see

3.3 of GB/T 24345-2009);

--- Added product classification and marking (see Chapter 4);

--- Changed some intrinsic quality requirements (see Table 1, Table 1 of GB/T 24345-2009);

--- Changed some appearance quality requirements (see Table 2, Table 2 of GB/T 24345-2009);

--- Deleted the following items. color fastness to dry heat, single yarn breaking strength reduction rate, single yarn breaking strength, coefficient of variation, coefficient of variation of weight per 100 meters, Test method for meter weight deviation (see 5.5, 5.11,

5.12 of GB/T 24345-2009);

--- The test methods for coefficient of variation of fiber content and evenness uniformity have been changed (see 6.1, 6.14, 5.10, 5.13);

--- Added odor, light and sweat composite color fastness, linear density deviation rate, linear density variation coefficient, breaking strength, breaking strength variation coefficient Test methods for numbers (see 6.4, 6.11, 6.12, 6.13, 6.15, 6.16);

--- Changed the inspection rules (see Chapter 7, Chapter 6 of GB/T 24345-2009);

1 Scope

GB/T 24345-2025 is the Chinese product standard for package-dyed yarn: yarn dyed on the cone or cheese rather than as fibre or as fabric. It is the way most yarn for knitting and for yarn-dyed weaving is coloured, and its characteristic defect is the one the standard is largely written around, unevenness of shade between the inside and the outside of the package and between one package and the next in the same batch. The document sets the classification, the requirements on the yarn count and its variation, the strength and elongation, the twist, the evenness and the imperfections, the colour requirements including the shade difference within and between packages and the colour fastness to washing, water, perspiration, rubbing and light, the requirements on the package build and on residual moisture, the appearance quality and the grading, together with the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, packaging, transport and storage. The 2025 edition replaces GB/T 24345-2009. For a dyehouse, a knitter or a weaver in China, this is the acceptance text.
