Scope

GB/T 24216-2009 is the English-translated version of 轻油.

GB/T 24216-2009 is the Chinese national standard for light oil, the fraction taken off the high temperature distillation of coal tar.

It gives the technical requirements - density, distillation range, water content and the limits on the impurities that matter to the works downstream - the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions on packaging, marks, transport, storage, the quality certificate and safety.

It applies to the light oil obtained from the high temperature distillation of coal tar, the feed from which benzene, toluene and xylene are recovered. Coking plants, tar distillers and their customers use it. Issued on 8 July 2009, it has applied since 1 April 2010.

This standard specifies the technical requirements for light oil, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, labeling, transportation, storage and quality certification, to safety Demand and so on.
