GB/T 44551-2024 is the Chinese national standard covering the solvent-induction method for the weathering resistance of an optical functional film with a surface coating — the glass bottle with the flat, defect-free mouth, the analytically pure butanone, ethyl acetate or isopropanol whose penetration and diffusion stimulate the coating, the sample and its conditioning, the test environment, the performance measured before and after exposure, the test report, and the appearance change that shows the coating precipitating out. First edition, under the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation. In force from 1 April 2025. Issued on 29 September 2024, it has been in force since 1 April 2025.

1 Scope

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Solvent induction method
A method to characterize the changes in coating surface properties and precipitation by using the principle of penetration and diffusion and inducing the coating surface with stimulation by organic solvents.
4 Instruments, Equipment and Reagents
4.1 Glass bottles
The bottle body is cylindrical, the volume of the glass bottle is (150±5) mm, and the inner diameter of the bottle mouth is (80±1) mm; the bottle mouth should be flat and without defect.
4.2 Organic solvents
One of analytically pure butanone, ethyl acetate, and isopropanol.
5 Samples
5.1 The sample to be measured should meet the preparation requirements of the specified sample.
