Scope
GB/T 9977-2008 is the English-translated version of 焦化产品术语.
GB/T 9977-2008 fixes the Chinese vocabulary of coking products, together with the English equivalents, the definitions and the symbols used for them.
It arranges the entries in four groups - coking products, sampling and sample preparation, test methods and the representation of analytical results - and states the drafting rules followed: each Chinese entry is followed by its English name, and a synonym or a former name is placed after the definition.
The entries themselves cover the aromatic products recovered from coke-oven gas, among them crude benzol and the fractions obtained from it, benzene, toluene and the xylene grades.
It is written for use in other standards, documents, technical literature, books and manuals. It replaces GB/T 9977-1988, was issued on 19 August 2008 and has applied since 1 April 2009.

Foreword
This standard replaces GB/T 9977-1988 "terms of coking products." This standard and GB/T 9977-1988 compared to the main changes are as follows.
--- Added "About" section;
--- Modifications and adaptations of the standard general structure and formatting;
--- Increase in some of the new terms, such as. ferroalloy coke, needle coke and other;
--- Revised some definitions of terms, so that the definition of a more complete, accurate;
--- We made the necessary modifications to some of the terms of symbols to represent the symbol timely and effective;
--- On the part of the English translation of the term has been modified so that the modified term English name is more accurate.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the coking products, sampling and sample preparation and test methods and other terms, the English translation, definitions and symbols.
This standard applies to the relevant standards, documents, materials, books and manuals.
2 Terms arrangement principle
2.1 Choreography by standard terminology coking products, sampling and sample preparation, test methods, analysis representation of four parts to orchestrate.
2.2 Each part of the term Chinese name written in the same category, after each term Chinese name with an English name.
2.3 Each term synonyms or former name on the terms defined above, the symbol is placed behind the definition of the term.
3 Terms
3.1 The term coking products
3.1.1 Recovered from the coking coal gas obtained aromatics products, mainly composed of benzene and its homologs, including processing benzol and crude benzene solvent.
3.1.2 Crude benzene fractionation to obtain a distillate of 96% amount of distillate temperature of not more than 150 °C products.
3.1.3 Resulting from the processing of crude benzol benzene, including nitration of benzene, benzene and fine solvent benzene.
3.1.4 Resulting from the processing of crude benzene, toluene, including the nitration of toluene, solvent refined toluene and toluene.
3.1.5 Resulting from the processing of crude benzene xylene, the main component of o-, m-, on - xylene, ethylbenzene and other mixtures thereof, including 3 °C xylene, 5 °C Xylene and p-xylene 10 °C.
3.1.6 Crude benzene fractionation, extraction of light benzene fraction after.
3.1.7 Initial boiling point of not less than 160 °C, 200 °C distillate was greater than 85%, for extracting coumarone - indene resin fraction.
3.1.8 Fractionation of crude benzene to give 135 °C ~ 200 °C distillate volume of more than 95% of the products.
