Scope

GB/T 2294-2019 is the English-translated version of 焦化固体类产品软化点测定方法.

GB/T 2294-2019 is the Chinese national method for determining the softening point of the solid products of coal carbonization, namely coal tar pitch and solid coumarone resin.

It sets out the principle, the apparatus, the test procedure, the test results, the permissible deviations, the test report and the arbitration rules.

Samples are taken according to GB/T 2000 and prepared according to GB/T 2291, and the standard describes how the sample is melted, with the air bath, the melting spoon, the crucible, the heater, the oil and water baths and a 0 °C to 250 °C thermometer graduated in 1 °C. It also covers the ring-and-ball determination by hand and by automatic instrument and the calibration reagents.

It replaces GB/T 2294-1997, was issued on 30 August 2019 and has applied since 1 March 2020.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB/T 2294-1997 "Method for determination of softening point of coking solid products", this standard is in accordance with GB/T 2294-1997 The main technical changes are as follows.

--- Modified the sample tool (see 3.3.1.4, 1997. 3.3.1.3);

--- Added the sample operation control table (see 3.3.3);

--- Increased cryostat (see 4.2.1.8);

--- Added the main technical parameters of the automatic ring and ball softening point tester (see 4.2.1.9);

--- Modified the reagents, and changed "Vaseline" and "glycerol" to "glycerol" (see 4.2.2, 5.2 of 1997 edition);

--- Increased the requirements for the preparation of copper rings for samples (see 4.3.1.4);

--- Increase the requirement for softening drooping distance measurement of the sample in the universal method (see 4.3.1.5);

--- Increase the requirements for ball weighing in the Global Method (see 4.3.1.6);

--- Change the 1 °C in the "Re-testing of the softening point of the two rings to more than 1 °C" to 0.8 °C (see 4.3.1.9, 1997 edition) 6.6);

--- Increased the calculation formula for the manual analysis of the global method (see 4.3.1.10);

--- Added the global method of automatic instrumentation (see 4.3.2);

--- Modified the test table for different softening point test (see 4.3.3, 6.7 of 1997 edition);

--- Global law reproducibility adjusted from 1.5 ° C to 1.2 ° C (see 4.4.1, 1997 version of 7.1);

--- Purity of benzoic acid changed to reference reagent (see 5.2.2.1, 9.2.1 of 1997 edition);

--- Modified the reagent, changed "xylene or washing oil" to "xylene" and modified the purity (see 5.2.2.2, 1997 version 9.2.2);

--- Modified the reagents and changed "Vaseline" to "glycerol" (see 5.2.2.3, 1997 version 9.2.3);

--- Increased the requirements for periodic calibration of the ball ball meter (see 5.4.10);

--- Revised the content of the test results (see Chapter 6, Chapter 12 of the 1997 edition).
