Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting.

This document is Part 5 of GB/T 22939 "Packaging for Household and Similar Electrical Appliances". GB/T 22939 has been published for the following part.

— Part 1: General requirements;

— Part 2: Particular requirements for range hoods;

— Particular requirements for vacuum cleaners and water suction cleaning appliances;

— Special requirements for microwave ovens;

— Part 5: Particular requirements for electric washing machines and dryers;

— Special requirements for refrigerators;

— Special requirements for air conditioners.

This document replaces GB/T 22939.5-2008 "Particular requirements for packaging of household and similar electrical appliances - electric washing machines and dryers" Compared with GB/T 22939.5-2008, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) The scope of the standard has been changed to include shoe washing machines, shoe washing and drying machines, as well as clothing care machines and electric warm air dryers.

Scope of non-application (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the 2008 edition);

b) The technical requirements for "mildew-proof packaging" and "vibration-proof packaging" have been deleted (see 4.3 and 4.5 of the 2008 edition);

c) Added technical requirements and test methods for top impact test (see 4.3.7.101, 5.3.4.101);

d) Added technical requirements and test methods for carrying test items (see 4.3.101 and 5.3.101).

Introduction

GB/T 22939 "Packaging for Household and Similar Electrical Appliances" is divided into several parts, consisting of general requirements and special requirements. Part 1 The following are general requirements, and the rest are special requirements. For products covered by special requirements, the packaging requirements are the combination of general requirements and the special requirements.

The special requirements include the replacement, modification and addition of the corresponding clauses in the general requirements to provide a complete description of each product.

GB/T 22939 is intended to consist of the following parts.

— Part 1: General requirements. The purpose is to specify the general requirements and test methods for packaging of household and similar electrical appliances.

— Part 2: Special requirements for range hoods. The purpose is to specify the technical requirements, test methods and packaging standards for range hood packaging. Knowledge, etc.

— Part 3: Particular requirements for vacuum cleaners and water suction cleaning appliances. The purpose is to specify vacuum cleaners and water suction cleaning appliances.

Technical requirements, test methods and packaging labels for cleaning equipment packaging.

— Part 4: Special requirements for microwave ovens. The purpose is to specify the technical requirements, test methods and packaging standards for microwave oven packaging. Knowledge, etc.

— Part 5: Particular requirements for electric washing machines and dryers. The purpose is to specify electric washing machines, dryers, washer-dryers, Technical requirements, test methods and packaging labels for shoe washing machines, shoe washing and drying machines, etc.

— Part 6: Special requirements for refrigerators. The purpose is to specify the technical requirements, test methods and packaging standards for refrigerator packaging. Knowledge, etc.

— Part 7: Special requirements for air conditioners. The purpose is to specify the technical requirements, test methods and packaging standards for air conditioner packaging. Knowledge, etc.

— Part 8: Special requirements for integrated electric cookers. The purpose is to specify the technical requirements, test methods and packaging standards for integrated electric cookers. Knowledge, etc.

This document is used in conjunction with GB/T 22939.1-2025 "Packing for Household and Similar Electrical Appliances Part 1: General Requirements".

The part marked "applicable" in the document indicates that the corresponding clauses in GB/T 22939.1-2025 apply to this document; the part marked "replaces" or For the “modified” parts, this document shall prevail. For the “added” parts in this document, in addition to the relevant parts in GB/T 22939.1-2025, In addition to the required terms, it also complies with the terms added in this document.

Particular requirements for electric washing machines and dryers

1 Scope

This chapter of GB/T 22939.1-2025 is replaced by the following.

This document specifies the technical requirements and packaging labels for washing machines and dryers and describes the corresponding test methods.

This document applies to the packaging of washing machines and dryers powered by electricity for use in households and similar locations.

This document also applies to the packaging of washer-dryers, shoe washers and shoe dryers used in households and similar places.

Note. Washing machines, clothes dryers, all-in-one washer-dryers, shoe washers and shoe washers and dryers are collectively referred to as appliances.

This document does not apply to clothing care machines or electric warm air dryers.
