GB/T 22368-2008 is a test method standard for the determination of the content of several elements in low-alloy steel by glow discharge optical emission spectrometry, as a routine method.
It covers carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, chromium, nickel, aluminium, titanium, copper, cobalt, boron, vanadium, molybdenum and niobium. The measuring range for each element is given in a table in the scope.
The standard has one normative appendix and two informative appendices, and it refers to GB/T 6379.1 and GB/T 6379.2. It applies to the analysis of low-alloy steel for the listed elements.
The foreword states that it was proposed by the China Iron and Steel Association. Issued on 11 September 2008 and applicable from 1 May 2009.

This standard specifies the glow discharge atomic carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, chromium, nickel, aluminum, titanium, copper, cobalt, boron emission spectrometry, vanadium, molybdenum, niobium-containing Method quantity.
