3 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 22330.1 apply to this document.

4 African horse sickness virus infection

Any of the following situations is considered to be an infection with African horse sickness virus.

a) Isolation and identification of African horse sickness virus from equine samples;

b) From samples of equine animals showing clinical signs of African horse sickness or with epidemiological links to confirmed or suspected outbreaks of African horse sickness Detection of African horse sickness virus antigen or nucleic acid;

c) From a patient who has not been infected with African horse sickness and has clinical symptoms of African horse sickness or has an epidemiological link with a confirmed or suspected outbreak of African horse sickness Antibodies to African horse sickness virus were detected in samples from equine animals vaccinated with the vaccine.

5 Infectious period

The infectious period of African horse sickness is 40 days.

6 Basic Requirements

6.1 Comply with the basic conditions for establishing areas free from prescribed animal diseases in GB/T 22330.1.

6.2 No equine animals have been vaccinated against African horse sickness in the region in the past 12 months.

6.3 The sanitary conditions of African horse sickness shall meet any of the following conditions.

a) There has been no African horse sickness in the construction area in history;
