GB/T 22264.2-2022 is the Chinese national standard for mounted digital display ammeters and voltmeters.
It gives the product categories and classification, the rules for claiming compliance, and the technical requirements: standard power values, reference conditions and basic errors, nominal service range and permitted variations, safety, electrical, accuracy, electromagnetic compatibility, structural, climatic and reliability requirements.
It then covers the information, signs and symbols to be marked, the inspection rules and the packaging, storage and transport, with Annex A listing the test items and their recommended order.
It applies to newly made instruments used in distribution systems up to 750 V DC and 690 V AC at 50 Hz or 60 Hz, but not to direct-acting analogue or portable ones.
It cites GB/T 22264.1-2022, replaces GB/T 22264.2-2008, was issued on 30 December 2022 and has applied since 1 July 2023.

Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules for Standardization Documents" drafting.
This document is the second part of GB/T 22264 "Mounted digital display electrical measuring instruments". GB/T 22264 has issued the following part:
--- Part 1: Definitions and general requirements;
--- Part 2: Special requirements for ammeters and voltmeters;
--- Part 3: Special requirements for power meters and reactive power meters;
--- Part 4: Special requirements for frequency tables;
--- Part 5: Particular requirements for phase meters and power factor meters;
--- Part 6: Special requirements for insulation resistance meters;
--- Part 7: Special requirements for multi-function instruments;
--- Part 8: Test methods.
This document replaces GB/T 22264.2-2008 "Mounted Digital Display Electrical Measuring Instruments Part 2: Characteristics of Ammeters and Voltmeters Special Requirements". Compared with GB/T 22264.2-2008, except for structural adjustment and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
--- Changed the scope and added "This document is applicable to newly manufactured DC 750V and AC 690V and below, the nominal frequency is Installed digital display ammeters and voltmeters for measuring current and voltage in 50Hz or 60Hz power distribution systems" (see Section 1 Chapter, Chapter 1 of the 2008 edition);
--- Increased the standard power value (see 5.1);
--- Changed the nominal use range limit and allowable change in Table 1 (see 5.3.1, 6.1 of the 2008 edition).
- Change "nominal use range limit" to "nominal use range limit";
- Change "DC measured ripple" to "ripple";
- Change "distortion measured by AC" to "waveform";
- Change "the frequency at which AC is measured" to "frequency", and change the limit of the nominal use range. "±10% of the reference frequency or the reference range -10% of the lower limit of the range and 10% of the upper limit of the reference frequency" was changed to "±2% of the nominal frequency value, or ±2% of the reference frequency range Limit -10% and Cap 10%";
- Change "external magnetic field" to "external power frequency magnetic induction";
- Added "Nominal frequency value or reference frequency range is allowed to be proposed by the manufacturer";
- Deleted Note a in the original Table 1.
--- Changed the technical requirements for self-heating (see 5.5.1, 7.2.1 of the 2008 edition);
---Change "output interface" to "input and output interface" (see 5.5.5, 7.2.5 of the 2008 edition);
--- Changed the technical requirements for short-term overload, deleted "except for those otherwise specified by the manufacturer" (see 5.5.6.3.2, 2008 edition 7.2.6.3.2);
--- Changed the immunity requirements for electromagnetic disturbances (see 5.7.1, 7.4.1 of the 2008 edition).
- The power value applied by the voltmeter and ammeter is changed from the original "full scale value" to "the upper limit value of the measuring range";
- Deleted the allowable change caused by electromagnetic compatibility in the original table 3.
---Changed the requirements of the radio interference suppression test, the electric value applied by the voltmeter and the ammeter is changed from the original "full scale value" to "measuring range upper limit" (see 5.7.2, 7.4.2 of the 2008 edition);
--- Change the mechanical requirements to structural requirements (see 5.8, 7.5 of the 2008 edition);
--- Changed the "average life" technical requirements, and changed "average life" to "reliability" (see 5.10, 7.7 of the 2008 edition);
--- Added Chapter 8 Packaging, storage and transportation (see Chapter 8);
--- Added the normative appendix "Test items and recommended sequence" (see Appendix A).
Introduction
Installed digital display electrical measuring instruments are installed in various distribution cabinets and distribution boxes, and are widely used in industrial and mining enterprises, electric power, metallurgy, chemical industry, In fields such as energy, medical care, and transportation, the application scenarios continue to expand. GB/T 22264 series standards have been promulgated and used for more than 10 years.
And market changes, the standard can no longer adapt to the development of technology and user needs.
GB/T 22264 aims to standardize the technology of installed digital display electrical measuring instruments by combining the latest product technology and user needs at home and abroad.
Specifications and safety requirements, and put forward corresponding test methods, to provide a product specification for manufacturers and users of such electrical measuring instruments, It embodies most of the requirements of the technical specification for product ordering.
GB/T 22264 is proposed to be composed of the following 8 parts:
--- Part 1: Definitions and general requirements. The purpose is to establish the definitions and common enquiries.
--- Part 2: Special requirements for ammeters and voltmeters. The purpose is to develop special requirements for ammeters and voltmeters.
--- Part 3: Special requirements for power meters and reactive power meters. The purpose is to formulate special requirements for power meters and reactive power meters.
--- Part 4: Special requirements for frequency tables. The purpose is to develop special requirements for frequency tables.
--- Part 5: Special requirements for phase meters and power factor meters. The purpose is to formulate special requirements for phase meters and power factor meters.
--- Part 6: Special requirements for insulation resistance meters. The purpose is to formulate special requirements for insulation resistance meters.
--- Part 7: Special requirements for multi-function instruments. The purpose is to formulate special requirements for multi-function instruments.
--- Part 8: Test methods. The purpose is to standardize the test methods for installed digital display electrical measuring instruments.
In recent years, the international safety requirements for products have become more and more stringent. This revised standard, combined with IEC 61010-1:2010 and GB/T 17215.211-2021 changed the safety-related content, clarified the terms of use, and improved product safety performance.
